Description :
Today’s electricity is produced in D’Jamena from thermic power plants running on diesel fuel. The high running costs incurred have highlighted the opportunity to assess the viability of an interconnection between Lagdo’s existing power plants and others to be built in Cameroon.
With the construction of a high voltage line from Maroua, N’Djamena will be the off-taker of all the residual energy during off-peak hours, and eventually during Lagdo’s peak hours in the time remaining before the construction of Bini’s power plant.

Description of the Actual Services Provided The study aims to :
- Determine if the construction of a high voltage line between Maroua and N’Djamena would represent a feasible solution to improve the energy cost in N’Djamena.
- Determine the profitability conditions of this line through the planned service, as an additional electricity supply of N’Djamena ;
- Propose the technical and contractual modalities for the supply of the surplus energy from Lagdo to N’Djamena.
