Description :
One of the components of the Lighting Africa programme, initiated by the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank, and implemented by the Ministry of Energy in Burkina Faso, aims to distribute 25,000 solar lamps in 400 schools in Burkina Faso, in order to stimulate and develop the diffusion of certified solar lamps. A first part of the activities was carried out in 2017 with the distribution of 16,300 lamps via a solar library concept. This project concerns the second phase of the activity, with the additional distribution of 8,300 lamps in 161 schools. The SNV is in charge of the implementation of this component, and IED provides the SNV the activity evaluation monitoring.
