Description :
The goal of the program is to elaborate a viable solution for the value of agricultural and agro-industrial waste, for power ratings from 200kWe to 2MWe, with a high impact on local economies, employment, the local environment and climate change, through the transfer of manufacturing and operating know-how already operational in Cambodia. An important action training component will make it possible to manufacture the first units, and to install and operate the first installations in Africa.
Innovation will also focus on institutional arrangements in a context where, while self-production and independent production are allowed in West Africa, regulatory frameworks remain cumbersome and require incentives that are more conducive to renewables; financing remains a real challenge for complex and small projects: a mobilization of impact funds and guarantee instruments is to be developed.
