Description :
VITAL SENEGAL is an agro-industrial company that commercializes white rice. The company owns a processing unit located in the northern rice production area.
The unit produces large quantities of rice husk and is located in a recently electrified rural area. For VITAL managers this is an opportunity to produce clean energy at lower cost, to contribute to energy access for the population via the existing network and to contribute to national objectives as to the share of biomass in the energy mix.
The mill has a capacity of 30,000 tons and VITAL is considering extensions of its production lines and storage capacity to reach 60,000 tons and to have its own electric power plant.
IED is recruited to carry out the feasibility study of the project
