Description :
The objective of the study is to collect examples of good practices, in 5 to 10 emerging countries over Asia and Africa, regarding the implementation of self-consumption / net-metering policies in order to give an overview of the development of PV prosumers under compensation schemes. The idea is to bring these lessons to countries that are in the process of introducing this legislation.
Description of the Actual Services Provided - Provide a comparative analysis of the different mechanisms (regulatory, financial, and fiscal) that are supporting PV self-consumption in developing countries in order to highlight challenges and opportunities of PV self-consumption for those countries.
- Highlight existing good practices and relevant institutional patterns.
- Assess the "replicability" of these good practices
- Encourage North-South-South exchanges and cooperation through the compilation and dissemination of good practices (favoring the sharing of experience and the transfer of skills among policy makers in the countries of the South).
- Develop a prospective outlook of the urban prosumers market in developing countries
