Description :
The Moroccan Hammams sector is a significant area of activity in terms of attendance, employment and energy consumption. Traditional hammams are means of social cohesion and offer access to hygiene for everyone.
The challenge is to preserve the traditional and social dimensions of hammams while promoting modern and efficient technical solutions. The “Sustainable Hammams Program” is a comprehensive energy retrofit project in the sector through three components:
• Development of a sustainable and reliable woodfuel supply;
• Promotion of modern and efficient steam and hot water generating technologies
• Raising awareness of the customers of hammams and setting up of warm water management devices.
GERES has recruited IED to provide project monitoring and support through a coaching mission of an international expert.

• Advising the project team in the organization and management of program activities, train the team as needed on specific topics
• Keeping international donors (AFD and French GEF) informed and if necessary, proposing the reorientation of the program targets.
