Description :
The objective was to recommend the critical path in the development and updating of the MEDP taking into account Policy thrusts of greater private sector participation and integration of renewable energy in the power sector, specifically in the Small Power Utilities Group and Distribution Utilities operation as well as develop road map toward attaining sufficient and adequate supply of electricity in missionary areas.

Description of the Actual Services Provided * Assessment on rural/missionary Electrification and Missionary Electrification Plan
* Study of a viable/sustainable Renewables in Missionary/Rural Electrification including assessment of Renewables Energy Act provisions on renewable in off-grid areas
* Study of Private Sector Participation (PSP) in missionary electrification :
> technical review and assessment of the performance of existing PSP projects
* Review and update MEDP: It consists in the examination of
- Disbursement of UC-ME (Universal Charge for Missionary Electrification) subsidy to key beneficiaries,
- Timing for submissions and review/endorsement of MEDP to the appropriate entity,
- Institutional arrangements.
* Conduct of consultations workshops and meetings with the key stakeholders to gather information, feedbacks, solicit inputs and recommendations for possible integration in the updated MEDP.
* Preparation and submission of Final Report, that integrates all the assessments, finding of the study and recommendations
