Description :
The objective is to identify ten or so small hydroelectric power plant sites in French Guiana to supply isolated villages, to analyse the potential of the resource, to study its feasibility and to draw up the corresponding Summary Project Proposals (SPP).
More than 50 sites, ranging from a few kW to a few MW, were first pre-identified on the basis of available cartographic and hydrological data. A selection of about ten sites was then made on the basis of data collected during several field missions.
