Description :
In the framework of the ATEQUE (working group for the evaluation of buildings environmental quality), different evaluating tools for the environmental quality of buildings had been elaborated. The main targets for evaluation are energy consumption, water consumption, building site management, waste management, material and components choice, etc. Those tools are generally used in testing and experimental conditions only.

Description of the Actual Services Provided The present study aims to analyse these different tools, in order to identify them according to:
* their objectives,
* the adopted methods to evaluate the environmental quality of the buildings,
* the easiness of use and learning,
* their pedagogic value.
The study will be articulated around the establishment of descriptive profiles, which will allow to synthesise the objectives of each tool and their application field.
The comparative analysis will be established through environmental targets to analyse the possible conflict management between each environmental target. A case study, an experimental individual home built near Toulouse, will be used as an illustration and validation for each of the tools.
The results will be presented and discussed in the framework of the GT 04, working group n°4 of the ATEQUE.
