Description :
Maputo city has to import 90 % of its electricity from South Africa, to meet the needs of the population. The Infulene sub-station is not sufficient for the transmission the necessary energy quantity.
It was so envisaged that an other (Matola) station should be added to the existed sub-station, associated to the first one.
In the framework of the reinforcement of the electricity supply of Maputo study, IED was involved in the evaluation of the economic viability of the Matola sub-station.

Description of the Actual Services Provided IED's tasks consisted of :
* Approach formulation
* Hypothesis on the basis of the available data, for the economic and financial justification of 275 KV line and Matola sub-station ;
* Execution of the economic analysis of the 275 kV line and Matola sub-station.
