Description :
The general objective of the project is to foster the market penetration of grid-connected PV systems in Europe by removing these barriers.
The project will focus on the integration of PV elements in commercial and domestic buildings. The objective is to reduce the PV systems costs by a proper design and a better optimisation, from 7 Euro / Wp to 5 Euro / Wp the third year of the project. It will be achieved through an up-front integration of PV option in the building sector, based on a strong collaboration with building designers and promoters, architects and building material manufacturers for the improvement and enhancement of the quality of “PV products” (tiles, roofs components, facade, window glasses…).
The project aims also to strengthen the European industry know-how and capability in terms of systems optimisation, technical design and financial engineering, in the perspective of a world wide dissemination of cost effective grid connected systems in industrialised nations and also in developing countries.

Description of the Actual Services Provided These objectives will be achieved through the implementation of a large programme of installations, in 6 European countries (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain), for a total of 3 MWp (0.5 MWp per country).
Dissemination activities will be undertaken, with the publication of brochures and of a catalogue on best practices and products, and the organisation of an exhibition.
