Description :
The ten cities of Vabre and Montredon -Labessonnié district located in the South of France represent approximately 5500 residents, with several 'resources' : an industrial past, with a craft and industrial historical culture still living, tourist potentialities, agricultural activities.

On the energy side, the former textile industries of Vabre used hydropower to provide electricity and motor energy, wood has been and is still widely used for the heating of buildings. Today, small hydropower plants could be rehabilitated or erected, in plateau wind and wood potential, are there and partially exploited, the sun is spreading widely.

The objective of the study is to evaluate energy potentialities of the Vabrais and Montredonnais area, more particularly for the production and renewable energy sources, as well as currently achievable energy savings. It is conceived as an approach of renewable resources of the territory, identifying more particularly energy advantages. It has been based on a study of the current situation and framework elements on development of renewable energy sources projects, or for achievable projects after the study, or for ulterior pre-feasibility.

Description of the Actual Services Provided The different stages of the project were :
* Identification of available potential of renewable sources energy,
* Identification of projects,
* Global "pre-feasibility" study of a renewable energy resources house.
