Description :
The feasibility study of the regional programme of a rural decentralized electrification in the Centre province of Cameroon aims to:
* The definition of the technical, financial and contractual outlines to allow the electrification of ten eight localities not under the care of AES-SONEL networks,
* The development, on the basis of these outlines, of an investment plan integrating the decentralized production for the electrification of these localities.
The contents of this study thus examined the decentralized electric means of production the most adapted and, particularly, the development near three agglomerations of small hydroelectric power station (powers varying from 110 to 700 kW)

Description of the Actual Services Provided The development study of these sites was the subject of three quite distinct phases:
A preliminary and cartographic location of the potential zones,
A reconnaissance mission in Cameroon,
A feasibility study of the sites answering the criteria of selection.
The services and responsibilities for IED, total coordinator of the study were as follows:
* Establishment and validation of the hydrological data of the rivers concerned by the three projects (Characteristics of the drainage basin, climatic and weather data, hydrological data and its analysis, flow duration curves, evaluation of the gross flows and the awaited levels, determination of the low flows, appreciation of solid transports),
* Establishment of the topographic maps necessary to the project,
* Evaluation of the geological environment of the project,
* Establishment and optimisation of the electric production facilities,
* Technical description of the works (civil works and hydro mechanical and electrical equipment),
* Evaluation of the main environmental impacts,
* Costing of investment and economic survey
