« Le FORUM » is a modern building, built in the 1970-1980 period. Following a safety audit, a comprehensive renovation program has been accepted by owners. The building features main fronts with east and west oriented curtain walls, which creates a thermal imbalance between the two fronts and affects the comfort of occupants. These planned works are a good occasion to renew environmental engineering devices. The owned has thus asked for assistance from OPATB to realise the energy audit of the building and evaluate different solutions. The energy audit aims at : • Draft the energy audit of the renovated building, based on the current situation • Suggest technical solutions for the treatment of air and air conditioning with optimum energy efficiency, investment and operating costs. The dynamic thermal simulation is done with the help of TRN-SYS software. This audit is realised as part of the OPATB of Grenoble. Partners are: ADEME, ANAH, METRO, city of Grenoble, French government and the European Union (Concerto programme – SESAC project) |
