Even in the Covid-19 period and despite the various restrictive measures put in place, IED do maintain its training missions abroad.
As part of the European Energy Sector Support Project in Togo named PASET1, IED carried out a 6-day training course on distribution techniques for rural electrification in Lomé, Togo, from 23 to 28 November 2020.
This training was given to 10 agents and engineers from various Togolese institutions such as the Togolese Agency for Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy (AT2ER), the Togo Electric Power Company de l’(EET),) the Energy Sector Regulatory Authority (ARSE) and the Directorate General of Energy (DGE).
Many topics were discussed such as demand forecasting, electrical and mechanical design of the MT and BT distribution networks, Mini-Grid concepts and renewable energy integration issues.
IED thanks all the participants in this training and wishes them a good continuation in their future missions that will enable them to apply the practical skills and knowledges acquired during this training session.
