In December 2019, IED began a World Bank funded project to study the upgrade and the development of the Electricity Transport Network in Cameroon.

The project’s main goal is to create an interconnection between the power distribution networks of the North and South regions and also to create on the one hand, an interconnection between Cameroon and Chad and on the other, between Cameroon and Nigeria.

It is a structuring project that will improve the quality of the electricity served in Cameroon and will enable the export of the electricity produced in Cameroon to Chad and Nigeria.

IED reinforces its permanent presence and its commitment to development projects in Cameroon through its local subsidiary IEDInvest Cameroon.
