GEOSIM® is a rural electrification planning software based on the functionalities of Geographic Information System (GIS): GEOSIM® is a combination of four modules:
- GEOSIM Spatial Analyst® for identification and ranking of localities that should be electrified in priority at the level of a given territory, according to economic and social development potential.
- GEOSIM Demand Analyst® for electric forecasting analysis at the level of a given territory.
- GEOSIM Network Options® for the identification of the least cost electrification option for the selected localities of a given territory, according to de demand forecasting analysis. Supply options are extension from the main grid, small hydro power plants and diesel gensets, through cluster (group of localities) or isolated configuration.
- GEOSIM Distributed Energy® for the rationalisation of the selection of localities that would benefit from pre-electrification (photovoltaic energy and motive power), which appear to be a necessity for some isolated localities.
GIMSYS® is a GIS/Internet based application facilitating transparent exchange of information on: (i) actual situation, (ii) rural electrification plans and (iii) status of economic and social infrastructures. Layers of information could be adapted depending on information available in the country.
MG Manager® is a Software developed for assisting with customers management and technical maintenance of small and decentralised electric grids.
PV Manager® is a Software developed for assisting with customers management and technical maintenance of photovoltaic kits.
IED expertise is at the disposal of its Clients for the design and the development of specifics applications, Information Systems Analysis, Data base and GIS management, and staff’s capacity building.
